The Northwest has abundant sources of clean, renewable energy and many opportunities for conservation and efficiency. Strong communities, taking collective action, can utilize these resources to respond effectively to global climate change, the depletion of fossil fuel reserves, and energy supply volatility. Northwest SEED educates, equips, and empowers communities to develop their own solutions that provide real community benefits. As a non-profit organization, we work directly with communities to identify practical solutions that support a sustainable local economy founded on locally owned energy.

Northwest SEED launched “Affordable Clean Energy (ACE) for All” to research, design and implement a model for affordable solar energy. Together, we are breaking down barriers to locally controlled clean energy systems.
Northwest SEED helps agricultural producers and rural small businesses to evaluate on-site opportunities for energy efficiency or renewable energy, and helps connect them with the resources they need to plan, develop, and finance their project.
Northwest SEED provides educational events to community members to support renewable energy project development.
